DESCRIPTION:The development of higher spin gravities as extensions of Einstein’s theory of gravity by infinite towers of massless higher spin fields governed by the gauge principle\, has triggered a novel formulation of relativistic quantum field theories in terms of infinite towers of differential form fields making up topological sigma models (TFT) in which the standard notions of vacua and particles are reincarnated within topological operator algebras arising from deforming groups acting on symplectic geometries. The lecture series tours the underlying concepts passing from the representation theoretic approach to harmonic expansion via Cartan integrable systems to the Alexandrov-Kontsevich-Schwarz-Zaboronsky (AKSZ) construction of Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) master actions and its application to the quantization of Vasiliev’s higher spin gravity.\n\n\nThe lecture takes place at the University del Bio-Bio site\, Chillan in lecture hall B8. \n\n\nLecture 3.
