DESCRIPTION:Job description: \n\nThe Department of Elementary Sciences at the Faculty of Science\, University of Bío-Bío in Chillán\, Chile\, is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Physics\, specializing in Particle Physics\, Gravity or Cosmology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant academic community and contribute to advancing research and education in these dynamic fields.\n\nPosition Details:\n– Start Date: March\, 2027\n– Location: University of Bío-Bío\, Chillán\, Chile\n– Department Webpage: Centro de Ciencias Exactas\n\nQualifications:\n– A Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field.\n– A demonstrated record of research excellence\, with strong potential for impactful contributions in the fields of Particle Physics\, Gravity or Cosmology.\n– Proven teaching experience at the university level\, with the ability to contribute to both undergraduate and graduate courses.\n– Proficiency in Spanish is required\, as teaching and administrative duties will be conducted in this language.\n\nResponsibilities:\n– Develop a cutting-edge research program with a significant impact on the field.\n– Secure external funding to support research activities.\n– Engage in teaching responsibilities at both undergraduate and graduate levels.\n– Actively participate in the university’s doctoral program in Physics.\n\nCompensation:\n– The starting salary is approximately $30\,000 per year\, with adjustments based on experience and qualifications.
