NUESTRO CENTRO

We are an interdisciplinary research group of mathematicians and physicists at the Universidad del Bío-Bío. We are tied closely to many Universities nationally and internationally. We are convinced that this gives us the opportunity to achieve mayor advances with respect to scientific problems.

Our center of exact sciences moreover has the objective to increase our knowledge about Nature

The creation of this interdisciplinary center, in addition to having the objective of generating new knowledge, represents a challenge and an opportunity due to its pioneering nature in fundamental and interdisciplinary research in the Ñuble region.

To address these challenges, which we cannot achieve individually or as separate groups, we have partnered with various academics represented in the groups: Group of Cosmology and Elementary Particles, Group of Research in Dynamic Systems and Applications and Group of Applied Mathematics to propose a center for fundamental research that works in an inter- and multidisciplinary way. Synergy consists of carrying out:

  • International visibility of the members of the Center.
  • Access to external funds destined for centers.
  • Contribution to the training of young scientists and contribution of new knowledge to society.

We think that this mission cannot be achieved without the center structure that generates the mechanism where the result is greater than the sum of each element or each part acting in isolation.
